Lilt — Help & Support

Welcome! Here's how to get help, report bugs, or suggest features.

Quick start

Adding a task

Tracking a habit

  1. Open the Habits tab.
  2. Tap + New Habit.
  3. Give it a name, set how many times per day, pick a color and icon.
  4. Tap the circle on the right whenever you complete it.

Viewing your progress

Open the Analytics tab to see your completion rate, perfect days, current streaks, and a per-habit heat map for the last 7, 30, or 90 days.

iCloud sync

Lilt syncs automatically across your Mac and iPhone via iCloud, as long as:

  1. Both devices are signed into the same Apple ID.
  2. iCloud Drive is enabled (Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → iCloud Drive).
  3. You have an internet connection.

Sync usually happens within 5–15 seconds. After app updates, allow 30–60 seconds for the schema to settle.

Frequently asked questions

Where is my data stored?

On your device, and in your private iCloud database. The developer has no access. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Can I share tasks or projects with another person?

Not currently. Lilt is a personal tool — no collaboration features.

What happens to old completed tasks?

Can I customize the keyboard shortcut on Mac?

Not yet. The default is ⌘⇧T. Custom bindings are on the roadmap.

How do I change the menu bar icon or hide the Dock icon?

Will Lilt always be free / no subscription?

Yes. Lilt is a personal project, not a business. There are no ads, no subscriptions, and no plans to add them.

Does Lilt work without iCloud?

Yes. Sign out of iCloud or disable iCloud Drive and Lilt keeps working locally on each device. Data just won't sync across devices.

Reporting bugs or suggesting features

Email: sai@stara42.com

Please include:

  1. Which device (Mac model + macOS version, iPhone model + iOS version)
  2. App version (Settings → About)
  3. What you did and what you expected vs. what happened
  4. A screenshot if it's a visual issue

If it's a sync issue, please include a screenshot of the Settings → iCloud Sync section — the diagnostic log there is very helpful for debugging.

Known limitations (v1.0)

Some of these may change in future versions based on what people actually need.
